        They seem tad soft on my screen, but it is well beyond it #s sell by date

          Glad you're up & running!

          To my eyes, the two male chaffinches look very slightly soft here but are much sharper on Flickr, which is a common issue.
          The female chaffinch is also a little soft but the branch next to it is sharp, so either the focus point is a little off or the bird moved as you took the shot.
          The sparrow looks a bit more OOF than the others but again, looking on Flickr, I think that could be camera shake.

          Interestingly, Flickr is not showing much EXIF data on some of the shots so I can't see your settings all of your settings. I think I'd be trying for a faster shutter speed than 1/200 when shooting hand-held at those distances.
