I don't normally take or post woodland birds. It's not bird snobbery or anything, its just that is where I started in bird photography and I have since moved on. However, the photographer within us can't resist a gift horse when it is presented and I am no different.
So what's so special about this shot that makes it worth posting? Nothing really, except that it was taken at 784mm and hasn't been sharpened at all. Cropped in photoshop and that's it. That is a Canon EF 200-400mm f4L with the extender switched on giving 560mm and then another 1.4x extender fitted giving 784mm. It may not show it here, but it is feather perfect ................ not bad for two stacked extenders!
