Re: Common Sandpiper
nice shot of the piper, although the background is a bit distracting and the bird centrally placed
For me it would work better cropping some off the top and the right side which would get rid of the "dead space" which occupies nearly 50% of the frame and would exclude the oof vegetation in the top corner

Re: Common Sandpiper
Thanks John and Trev, I like to have part of the environment, I am not trying to produce images for an identification manual, rather a more natural look. At the end of the day all art is in the eye(or ear) of the beholder, I recently gave a small informal talk on my wildlife photography and I finished it by saying that as long as you are happy with the result, others opinions are just that, their opinions, no one is right, or wrong for that matter.Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

Thanks for the comments guys, I welcome all comments and I do listen to them and evaluate them all, I've only met one of you, but I feel like I know a few of you quite well to listen to what you say(I might ignore what you say afterwards lol, but I do think about it first)Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
