    Thought for fun we might want to post good photos of ordinary birds here

    So for starters a jackdaw and a black headed gull

        Here's a shot of a big old black Crow that watched me when I went for breakfast at the Hungry Hiker on Hengistbury the other day. It was an almost white sky with early morning mist so I have added a colour wash to the sky. I love the detail and subtle colours of these birds

        My camera is helping to look at the world more closely, then record what I see to share with others.

          This swan has her nest in the middle of a small bone shaed ond in the middle of a private field just down the road from my office.

                            i will admit the wren and pigeon were with my lumix fz18 pocket snapper.you can't take the big boys everywhere, it was shot from my parents back garden over a fence on maximum optical zoom with IS set to max!!

                              A few from the garden today, the adult Blackbird is a bit grainy from 1600iso and the juvenile is a bit soft round the eye but I thought I'd post anyway
