    Goldfinch Posing

We spotted this little fellow waiting for us as we started an early morning wander around Stanpit Marsh. Its a bit of a crop and there is a slight softening of the breast feathers but I think the Head and eye detail are OK. What do you think?

Better than 'ok', I think you've done really well there! There's still a good bit of feather detail in there!

I'm getting envious of you guys finding these birds as you walk about... I'm obviously not walking about in the right areas!

    All the best, Mike.

Thanks Mike, Epsom was always good for finding "Birds" when I was a lad living in Sutton!

        lol - nudge nudge!

So you were a Sutton boy - where abouts?

I lived near Stonecot Hill till I was 20, then moved to Mordon for a few years, back to Sutton, then on to Ewell (West and East) where I am now. I went to school at Ridge Road Primary, then Glastonbury High for Boys. Well, that's enough of the family history... where were the birds?

        All the best, Mike.

These are beautiful birds and I love seeing them around. I like your shot and can forgive you for the 'soft's feathers. I wish I had one that good

Looks good Brian - you got the eye and head sharp and detailed so what else matters
