    Ring Necked Parakeet



    They have become very common in and around Surrey in recent years. There are many stories about where they came from, escaping from aviaries etc. This was taken at the London Wetland Centre, Barnes. It's not always easy to capture them with no branches or twigs obscuring them.

    EOS 1DX with 100-400mm f/4.5/5.6L IS lens.

      Well caught Brian, lovely colours. Should we love them? I think they are a bit like Red Legged Partridges there are too many.
