    Taken on Fort Myers Beach, Florida in 2014. Spent more than 10 minutes photographing this plover as it tussled with the contents of the cockle to the point where the tide had started to come in at the end.

    EOS 1DX with 500mm f/4L IS lens and 1.4 III converter, tripod mounted.
