Little Owl, the master of camouflage

    Hi All,

Am not having much luck of late with anything apart from Little Owls and Hares, so here we are again. I stopped at the local nest site for a pair and saw for a short time both out in the tree, I hope that doesn't mean something bad has happened with their eggs. The light on the tree changes throughout the day but one thing remains the same and that is how difficult it is to spot the birds when against the trunk of the tree.

Excellent set of images Paul, especially #2. The 1DX II with 300mm lens & 1.4 converter is a great combo. Do you hand hold or use a tripod?

Those are excellent. I have never seen an owl, I hear them almost every night.
