    A bit of slap & tickle

    I noticed these two in the garden yesterday - some way off unfortunately and so rather heavy crops.

    They spent some time bonding on the branch - clearly love is in the air!

    (The branch rampant in front of the LH bird is somewhat suggestive of the nature of the encounter!)

        The current Mrs S refers to a pair of these that frequent our garden as Water and Dorothy. The rituals and body language that they go through are quite comical. The male bowing and tail up is one of the funniest IMO, especially when the male lifts his head only to realise that the female has moved off
