      The only other candidate in your neck of the woods is the Tree Pipit, which usually has a white eyestripe...........................but not always, little brown jobs are notorious to id just from a picture, flight and song all help.
      Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

        Thanks both, looking in the books I am leaning towards Trev , out on the open moor and flew straight up like a Skylark. How are you getting on Tiger?

              Think Trev is correct. Leg colour, lightweight bill and colouring would tend to suggest meadow pipit.
