    Strange Times.

Open the curtains this morning to see 6 or 7 Sparrows exploring the Sparrow Hotel and one even taking grass into on room, go to Loch of Lowes and there is the Osprey nest (complete with cctv above it) empty and not much movement on the Loch, very quiet.

Lousy weather due tomorrow to remind nature it's winter coming not spring.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

Perhaps the Osprey's need to have a word with the sparrow's - inform them what time of year it is.

That'll put an end to any Carp or Tench fishing for a bit, do you go Grayling or Pike fishing at all?

            Burnie,
Have done a little pike fishing since being up here and once attempted Grayling on the Tay with no success. Apparently winter Carp fishing is the in thing in Scotland now with a fair amount of fish being caught, might give it a go on a mild day.
