    Resident Robin

This little Robin has been following me around the garden for a number of weeks, displaying on garden ornaments and looking through the kitchen window to get my attention.

It seems to sense when we are up and about. Once I go into the greenhouse he comes to the door for his breakfast. I'm wary of it becoming too tame, as it will take mealworms from my hand, they don't half tickle

    1. Taken from within the greenhouse

    2. And again

I got up at 5.30 this morning to frighten away some crows that were keeping me awake and as I opened the back door my tame Robin was waiting for me, great fun and costing me a fortune in mealworms.

This one seems to hear house doors and the greenhouse doors opening and then makes you aware it's there and ready for feeding.
First it takes a supply to the nest and then has a few itself before a trip back to where I think the nest is.

Good capture Peter, if you’re giving it mealworms you got a friend for life.

The Robin isn't too happy. For my latest order for mealworms I had to get "regular" sized, the previous order was mini sized as shown in image 2 above. With the latest regular size they seem a little too chewy for him!
No doubt the other avian visitors to the garden will make short work of the larger sized beasties
