    Couple more Reedlings

My session with the reedlings generated quite a number of 'acceptable' images.

Quite like these two. Including an image of the female which is often ignored due to less impressive plumage.

Can't thank you all enough for these generous comments.

I've been into photography for far longer than I care to remember and still relish the challenge of bird photography.

Photographing the reedlings was one of those times where things just come together. They were hungrily feeding close to a path on the reserve and not bothered by people. It was a nice crisp sunny day and happily the birds were on side of path that meant sun was behind me when taking the images, behind or slightly to side is always the best.

I would say that those are the best bird photographs that have been put up on this site in the past twelve months.

Credit where it is due - I'm not one for using the word often but stunning is definintely applicable here.

Many thanks for the very positive comments.

Typically describe myself as a birdwatcher that also takes photographs. To get images of quality like these is always a bonus.
