    Barn Owl

    OK not the best detailed image due to being a very, very large crop but really like the action in the shot.

    Taken at WWT Martin Mere yesterday

    Definitely a fine action shot - great angles on the head and wings.

    It's a shot about the life of the bird not fine detail so it's a from me...

      Yep agree. The action was why I didn't bin this image.

              Did try it but thought lost too much of reeds. Might revisit.

                          Decided I wanted to keep the reeds at the top of the image but have lightened the area. Thoughts?

                            Either is fine by me...

                            Dark bands at the edges is far less distraction than light or bright ones as they tend hold the eye in the picture by adding a definite border - at least that's what camera club judges say and who am I to argue?....
