    Waxwing Group

    When I photographed these birds recently I spotted this group coming down to drink. They were using the pools of water on the stone that caps of an old lead mine.

    As you can see there was a problem with a fence that was in the way.

    Quite liked the image so did a bit of a quick edit and whilst not exactly the best I think it makes the image useable. Might do some further work.

    Great shot with or without the fence. Sometimes the content can be more important than the overall quality.

      Super group shot…and different than most shots I've seen of waxwings. Worth a bit more processing to get some more contrast ….perhaps around the periphery and foreground rather than on the subject…just my thoughts

        Good capture Ant - why is the fence a problem, it was there, the birds were there. It’s a shot of what you witnessed and recorded. Why do people see the need to fake pictures up on here.

            Interesting that the fence isn't really an issue, personally I find it a bit distracting. Thanks for comments.
