Great Grey Owl

Went to the Hawk Conservancy for the first time in a few weeks yesterday. Bit overcast but at least it didn't rain and they flew Molly, the great grey owl during the mid day demonstration. Normally she flies in the woodland which makes it very difficult to get a decent shot and its usually too dark so to see her in the open was good

If they ditched the woodland and flew them all outside we could all get some great shots

The 1 and only time I've been to HCT I managed a great shot of her looking straight at me, but I'd love to see her flying.

I like the pose you caught... just landing... shows such concentration! Lovely!

As i said in the woods any flight shot is difficult so hope that flying her out in the open will be a regular thing for the next few weeks
