    Flying Sheep

Yesterday’s walk on Brown Clee Hill in Shropshire revealed some deep snowdrifts and a flying sheep. The first sheep tripped on the fence and ended up head first in the drift and the second one ……!

I've heard of flying pigs but never sheep.

      Nicely captured.

The drifts were at least three feet deep but quite solid and she scrambled out ....... I am sure I could hear the others chuckling to themselves

Thanks Dave I am keeping a look out for the pigs

Thanks for the update Dave. I was in Wales at the weekend with friends who had recently stayed with a family that had lost 200 lambs in the snow. I'm visiting the West Country this weekend, and expect the farmers in the family to update me on the Dartmoor losses. I think that on Dartmoor it has been as bad, if not worse than 1963 and probably is the difference between financial survival and disaster in 2013.
