    The Wind in Her Hair.

My dog as this particular place that she likes to sit/laydown. The wind blows up between the houses causes quite a draft.
My 70-300 arrived Friday afternoon and these where some of the first photos I took with it.

    Camera Canon EOS 500D
    Canon 70-300 is usm
    Exposure 0.006 sec (1/160)
    Aperture f/5.6
    Focal Length 135 mm
    ISO Speed 200
    Exposure Bias 0 EV
    Flash On, Fired

This one is my personal fave.

Very nice Di. I would have to say #2 is my favourite also. I'm not sure if it was intentional by you, but I really like the low contrast in these photos. Works really well IMO!

Congrats on your new kit also,

She looks mischievous! You've caught her really well, great colour and catchlights. I particularly like #2.

Thanks everyone, glad you like. She's 13 plus now but can still cause chaos when she feels like it. Selective deafness comes to mind. She can't hear you call her, but she can hear the chew tin open at five hundred yards.

Didn't mean the low contrast, but in all honesty any higher and it doesn't work for her. She has a fine white undercoat to her hair which sticks up through her main wire hair and it just looks odd if you try to put more contrast on.

Have to say tickled pink with the lens. Just put it on and it "feels right"

PS: I've tried to clone the corner (top right) but no matter what I do it doesn't look right. So I settled on "it is what it is.."

Lovely looking pooch, about the same age as ours and the same symptoms too.

I like them both, but No 2 has the edge for me also. i think all that needed to be cloned are the 2 highlights on the bottom fence rail, they just pull the eye from the subject a little.

Just my 2 pence, feel free to ignore.

Now why didn't I think of that. I've been trying to take the whole edge of the gate out. This makes perfect sense. Thanks.
