    Brecon Horses

Went to Brecons yesterday and came across some free roaming horses. Lovely place (old quarry) although a tad windy!

Good job on setting up the Flickr Neil.

I like this image it works for me as a mono. Like how you still have the detail in the horse. Only thing for me is the sky is so washed out and that is what lets it down in mono but same as every photographer you cannot control the weather. If you do ever figure that one out then I bet everyone would love you to share.

Thanks for comments Ian & Luke. Thought about staightening image but Brecons are all slopes so kept it, i'll look again. Agree about the sky.

Nice image. As I look at it, I would have to agree with the others that there is a slight tilt from left to right on the horizon. In looking at the sky, there seems that there is still some detail in the sky that by using the adjustment brush in LR you could tweak out a bit more detail in the sky.

                  Re: Brecon Horses

Neil, really like the composition and low point of view.
I'm normally a stickler for level horizons but in this case it doesn't bother me, perhaps because the terrain is clearly undulating.
As with the others, shame the sky is washed out. Looking at your exif I can't see any processing, so is this straight out of camera? Not wanting to teach you to suck eggs but with RAW I would have expected there to have been something you could have got out of the sky.

Duh. Sorry, stupid me. Obviously not, unless you live in a world of monochrome. I meant to say did you take jpeg or RAW?

Hi Alex, thanks for composition comment. So far only shot with jpeg but have been thinking of trying raw.
