    A day of panning

Nearly all panned shots today, definite improvements over previous attempts at this venue. Lots of experimentation and some decent results. Experience has given me the benefit of being able to handle the noise better with more accurate exposures and less cropping. Spent some time shooting full manual which helps a little too. I was down to 1/200th wide open at 2500 iso at one point and still got a couple of salvagable shots. Even with the light at it's peak however it still wasn't really enough so rather than shoot all day with excessive noise I chose to pan 90% of it.

Both really well handled Paul in difficult situations. The first is particularly good with the black dog mirroring the subject dog

Well timed in the first shot as you've frozen the action even with a fairly slow shutter(1/800).
Also like the motion in the 2nd as long as you get the eyes sharp (which you have) then the rest of what's in the frame will workout just fine.
