Re: Playing with portraits
Nicely done. These would be a winner with lots of owners i'm sure.
Can I ask what is your lighting setup for these? Main light brollie cam right with a fill cam left? Just asking because I am getting in to OCF just now and I am interested both in the setup, and whether I can read the image!
Cheers,
Garry

Re: Playing with portraits
These are continuous lights and had one just above the dogs heads to the left and in front, at around 45 degrees. There was another light to each dogs right, almost on the same plain as the dog. Both lights were reflected from white brollies. The end result of light positioning is trial and error, and with the dogs it's a matter of having only short sessions to prevent boredom. I've been trying different things each time I have a session with them.Paul

Re: Playing with portraits
Three good images I would have liked to see a little more separation between the dog and the background in the second. Probably a difficult task to do given the colour of the subject and the background. Well done Paul [emoji106]Peter

Re: Playing with portraits
A quick change, without too much time spent, but the principal adds to the separation. In this case not quite as effective as in others, because of the narrow dof

Re: Playing with portraits
Great images Paul. This genre is something that has been on mind recently, certainly after losing my dog and not really having a pucker shot of her anywhereAlan.
