    Reservoir flower

    Took this one back in September by Pitsford reservoir near Northampton. Don't know what it is but I was attracted by its colour and shape.



    Canon 550D with 15-85mm IS USM Lens
    1/160sec @ f5.6 ISO200 FL 85mm

            Nice shot.
            Looks like the flower head of the Amphibious Bistort, Polygonum amphibium.
            You say it was a reservoir flower - as its names imply this plant can grow in and out of water, with slightly different shape and appearance depending whether on land or in the water.
