    Judas's Ear Fungus

    Found on an Elder today, so named as Judas is reputed to have hanged himself on an Elder tree:



    Auricularia auricula judae

    Canon 7d plus EF 40mm f2.8 STM.

    What a strange thing ........ I don't think I have ever seen one before David and certainly didn't know the story behind its name.
