    Yellow and Blue Viola

    The recent severe weather almost killed these off, but as soon as the temperature rose above freezing they have started to come alive again.

    Full bloom

    5d mkIII; EF 100 macro with 30 mm ex tube; Tv-1 sec; Av-13; ISO-640 lit from each side with 3v 2.2w LEDs.

    Rich colours on the first. Did you use the LED lights?

        Yes DeeGee, The set up was the same as I posted in "Macro".

        With this next image I used the LED's at a slight angle from below and behind the flower.

          Might just have to have a look at some lights like that. With my tent, I have lights on the outside, but have been considering something just to use inside. I have a small LED torch but struggle with getting it into the right position, something that I could put on a small tripod would work alot better. I feel an ebay session coming on.

                That's a third from me too, I really like the LED shot. I've been looking at LED rings on eBay, I may have to go back and revue them again.

                        Beautiful well taken shots, but I am also impressed with the LED lights.

                          I posted this picture of the basic set in the macro forum. I am now working on a more stable version and will post pictures when it is complete.
