    Thistle & Flowers

    Fed up with waiting for birds. I went for a walk.

    Ideally I wanted a Thistle on its own. But there seemed to be so many of them and with spikes up to an inch long I had to be cautious where I stood.


    Camera Canon EOS 500D
    Canon 70-300 is usm
    Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500)
    Aperture f/6.3
    Focal Length 300 mm
    ISO Speed 400
    Exposure Bias 0 EV
    Flash Off, Did not fire

    I don't know what this is for definate. I think it's cosmos - I could be wrong. It was growing through someone's fencing.

      Thistles make really good subjects as you have proved just a slight shame you could not isolate it from the others

          Diana - I think you could be right. I walked back to them today and had a look over the fence as well. Seems to be a clump of them coming along very nicely.
