Hi Paul - like the low level view - makes the poppies stand out well - Regards John

I also like the low level, the detail in the clouds and the composition with the dominant/taller poppy on the thirds. I might be tempted to take out the red of the poppy extreme right and just leave the darker head.

Great shot Paul. I like the contrast with the sky. At first I thought the poppy on the right was stemless, but now I see it!

Paul, lovely image with the feeling of a painting (in a good way). When I first read Colin's suggestion I thought it was too extreme, but you know, I'd love to see it with just the single primary subject.

                  Re: Poppies in the Wind

Thank you all for the positive comments you have left. I will certainly have a go at Colin's suggestion of cloning out the right hand poppy.

I have been looking for Poppy Fields for quite a while and especially a Red Field full, these appear to be in short supply, I have today found quite a few pink fields, sadly I didn't have my Wide Angle Lens with me as I was returning from the Christening of Two of my Grandchildren.

I did stop and take a few shots with my 24-70mm and they will appear tomorrow.

Does anyone know why Farmers grow huge numbers of Pink Poppies rather than Red?

                  Regards Paul

                    Stunning shot Paul.

We are fortunate where I live to have several very good fields in full flower right now. Not seen any pink ones though.

Could feel quite jealous, not seen any poppy fields around me. Do like the pov and the red really pops.
