        thanks Neil & Paul ...

Not sure which I prefer TBH, the first has had more work as I wanted the path lighter and to lead you into the shot, the second was just a bit of tweaking to get the sky the way I wanted it

Ian, the second is definitely a hit with me, no question. Love the 'wheel and spindle' alignment of roof and tree. The first, not so sure; don't think I can quite get over the twist in the arch at the end, and yes, the path leads me in, but not really to anywhere.

            Cheers for the feedback Alex

I thought the path lead into the center? maybe I got that wrong..

I did get a bit more of the roof in but by the time I'd processed it and lined it up the way I wanted I'd lost a bit more than I wanted - Still happy with the result

Both really good, for me the second is way stronger though. The sense of scale of the palm rising upwards is great.

The roof in the first troubles me not being square/straight etc

The second makes me dizzy, nicely exposed though. Is it me or does the first look crooked?

                      Cheers Alan & Paul

The roof in the first troubles me not being square/straight
it was the angle I needed to get the path where I wanted it

Is it me or does the first look crooked?
crooked as in verticals ? I just looked in LR and lined it up and its big on - maybe its just the roof vents and light thats making you think that ??

Yes, it's the roof that looks odd. The louvres look skewed, but I'm sure it's just an optical illusion of some kind
