    Lilly..

    Spotted this is someones garden so returned a little later when I knew the sun wouldn't be fully on it ... Taken over the fence and with the 100-400 at 400mm.....

      i was pleased with the outcome as i wanted the mottled light look - think it works ?

        It does work. The dabbled light is great

          Different from the usual flower type of photography and it benefits from that. The dappled light, the dark(ish) leaves contrast well with the delicate and lighter texture of the Lilly flower. One almost gets the feeling the flower is lit from within.

              it is kinda I used the radial filter just around a part of the lilly and darkened the rest - cheers

                Originally thought this was a tad dark but going back to it I like it more, kind of moody

                I used the radial filter just around a part of the lilly and darkened the rest
                Now I learnt that you cheated(!) I'll go back to my PS12book to learn about this........
                Canon EOS R5, R6 plus the usual suspects ......

                    thanks Bo & David - have to say I've only recently started playing with the radial filter and it does give you the advantage of controlling where you want to pull peoples attention - the first time I used it was with my purple church photo if you remember that
