    Poppies, Contre Jour

    Hi All,

Went out a couple of nights ago Hare Hunting, saw loads but all too far away, 9 in one field, am sure they were laughing at me!!!

However, saw a few Poppies which looked rather nice in the setting sun so had a couple of shots at them.

Tried two crops, any preferences anyone?

Lovely! I personally prefer your first version, it has more depth to it.

Both very nice, Paul, the back lighting of the seed-heads is particularly effective. But since you ask, I think I prefer a sort of half way between the two. By which I mean the lighting of the first, and the inclusion of the leaf-thingies at the bottom, but with the top of the frame taken down to where you have it in the second.

Likewise and also the speckly bits floating in the air give it an extra feel which appeals to me
