    Another Orchid

    We are fortunate enough to have a patch of wild orchids growing at the front of the house. They are still in bloom, so I nipped out this morning to record one. This is a focus stack.

    5D Mk III, 24-105 / 70-200 f2.8 L / 100-400 Mk II / 100 macro / 16-35 L / 11-24 L / 1.4 & 2x converters and a bad back carrying it all ;o)

          Nice image, focus stacking is another technique I've yet to try.

            Thank you Anthony - I was not sure how well it would turn out since it was out in God's fresh air and there was a very small amount of breeze, giving occasional movements which obviously complicates the image alignment.

              what software do you use to align John ?

                    - Develop module in LR
                    - select all the images
                    - Photo > Edit in > Open as layers in PS

                    When all imported to PS

                    - Select all the layers
                    - Edit > Align layers > select Auto mode > OK
                    - Edit > Auto blend layers > select Stack images & Seamless tones & colours > OK
                    - BINGO you're done!
