Unknown leaves, but it is autumn

Taken on a walk in St Albans yesterday

Autumn leaves in the sun by Richard Anderson, on Flickr

I should know the name of the tree - if anyone can tell me I would be ever so grateful!

    Thanks for looking

I would suggest a variety of Japanese Maple ( Acer palmatum)

Thanks Russell - I was beginning to fancy some form of Spanish Oak, but stand to be corrected!!!

Lovely colours Richard, love maples. What's going on with the ghosting on the right of the frame? Looks a bit strange!

                Lovely image none the less,

Garry - it is partly the very thin DoF of the 100mm L Macro wide open, and partly because of the relatively strong high pass filter I used to give it the slightly dreamy look.

Thanks Richard. Didn't mean for that to sound so judgemental Sorry!

                    Cheers,

You didn't. It was a fair question and since we are all here to understand I thought it was worth a fair answer. I am very pleased to answer any questions on what I have done!!!
