    Clematis.

I think its called Clematis President. Its flowers start up quite dark and then lighten with the sun till they almost become white with just a pinky/purple stripe.

Taken with the 50-250 lens on a Canon 500D - for the life of me, I can't remember whether I'd got the extension tubes on, but I'm pretty sure that I did.

    WDYT?

I think The Prresident is darker than that - is it in the shade, cos it's more Nelly Moser colouring. Nice sharp stamens - possibly needs a bit more contrast, imho!

Looking at this on an uncallobrated works laptop screen it looks good, probably as Di(S) has said a little more contrast to give it a bit more punch but a nice picture.

Its got a dreamy look about it, just a tad more contrast would be perfect

Gone back to give it a bit more contrast, thanks for that, never know whether I'm over doing it.

Diana - Its not in the shade, it spends more time in the sun than in the shade... I think you could be right, I remember that I got three clematis at the same time and just planted them... now no idea which is which :smille:

Hope the extra contrast shows on this.

I think someone changes the labels on plants - in my case, probably my chickens! They are so happy with our dusty, dry flower beds!
