    Eryngium "Magic Blue Globe"

SWMBO wanted a photo of this to refer to while doing a painting of it.

It is a stacked image (done in PS) and has come out reasonably well, apart from some slight artefacts in the background leaves - I may have another go, possibly using different stacking software.

    This time a side view.

They look good to me John, do you think the background leaves problem may be due to DOF limitations rather than a stacking issue.

They look pretty good to me as well John. One issue I’ve noticed when doing focus stacking is that sometimes the focal length changes very slightly when you are moving the focus point resulting in a slight image mismatch between the different images, but, this may be a function of the lense I was using my EOS R and the RF 35mm lense.

Excellent - as one painter to another - hope the painting turns out ok.

Great photos, the plants look good with the black background.
