    Fly Agaric

This little clump of Fly Agaric added a little brightness to a dull wet morning. Although conditions have been just right, wet and warm for an explosion of fungi in the coming days.

Cannot believe you managed to find such a fine group without a blemish, mine are being eaten before they grow to any size ( not by me I add).

David nor could I, although the large one on the left had been nibbled at on the far side.

Little Tip. If you do find a nice specimen in it's early stages, get a plastic lemonade bottle, cut off the bottom and ditch the cap then place it over your fungi. Making sure there are no slugs in the vegetation immediately surrounding the fungus. Not only will this HOPEFULLY preserve it, it will hasten it growth - you've created a mini greenhouse.

Thanks everyone for looking your like and comments.
These seem to be very prolific this year, I've got more up in the wood than I've ever seen. With most maintaining a 'good appearance' not got at by slugs etc. for some reason.
