    Dragon Fruit

SWMBO bought this today as a subject for her botanical painting - strange-looking thing.

I can remember being offered the juice from these when we were in Ecuador - it was overpoweringly sweet.

Nice image John it really works.
I may be wrong but I'm thinking that the flesh of the fruit is white with black spots ( seeds?)

Yes Peter, this is a white flesh variety. There are other strains, some with red flesh (so SWMBO informs me).

Not yet - SWMBO wants to do a painting of it first.
