    Lamyropsis microcephala

    SWMBO & I came upon some of these rather attractive flowers when we were in Sardinia. We took some photos and it was not until we had returned home that we were able to identify it. It is critically endangered and found only in Sardinia, so we were lucky to encounter it. The leaves are rather nastily spiny.
