A dull day in the Garden

Sometime ago Rose Lavenderhill asked to see my hanging baskets.

Well yesterday I had a bit of a break from remodelling the bathroom and had a quick stroll around the garden with my camera. I hope you enjoy the little tour around the it.

    1. Some of the Baskets, you may notice a stray Sunflower in one of them. I beginning to think the sunflower seeds may have been in the compost as a number of my pots and baskets have had sunflowers germinate in then which weren't planted by me!. I did wonder if some disgruntled person at the compost maker had a bit of a grudge and added the seeds to the composts mix prior to it being packed in to bags

    2. More Baskets on the Rose Arch.

    3. Dahlia

    4. A Thalictrum which is drooping over.

    5. Looking for the Sun.

WOW! Peter that is fantastic a true credit to you. The only way I could have a garden like that would be to shoot the deer

Most compost bought these days is based on household waste from council bins, so as it is not likely to get to a temperature to sterilise it properly, you may find all sorts of unwanted guests in the compost, I am now making my own.
            Nice garden.

Thank you Peter for posting the photos of your hanging baskets and garden, it all looks amazing. Hope you enjoyed your break from the remodelling
Beautiful baskets, I love the colours and plants. My garden is a square of concrete, so I only dream of a garden similar to yours.

              Love the sunflower!

Agree with tigerburnie, I don’t think compost reaches a high enough temp and is from waste so likely to have all sorts of surprises.
