    Pumpkins

Pumpkins - Local farmer close to me grows these each year, most seem to get ploughed back into the field. - such a waste, good food.

That is a shame, could fill your freezer with pumpkin pies Trev. I have seen a fair few shots of red squirrel eating pumpkins, they seem to love them.

David, they eat them from instinct they are not beneficial to any wildlife especially Hedgehogs. It’s a bad policy discarding pumpkins after Halloween in hedgerows, woodlands etc. Best discarded with the normal domestic food waste.
