    Bee

    Taken today in the garden.

Been feeling a little off with my camera, so was determined to go out today and try and get something.

Decided on close up/macro as brother as requested use of my 55-250 for a trip out to an air show so put my 50mm macro on the camera. I have to confess that I've put the kenko extension rings on as well, but if you ask me which photo was taken with them off and which was taken with them on, I couldn't tell you. I changed them in and out, after taking a few photos with each of them on.

I took about eighty shots and binned forty straight away.

After a while switched to my 18-55 kit lens, gave me a little distance between the bees and myself. Been stood next to a bush that pulls in the bees, not the best place to be for someone who's not too keen on the idea of getting stung.

Only packed in, when the wind got to the stage where focus disappeared in a split second and turned quite cold.

Came back to add: don't think the 18-55 did bad. All taken hand held.

Comments appreciated. What I've done right, what I've done wrong, what can be done to make it look better.

    Re: Bee

Im no expert but these look very good. Not keen on #1..just looks a tad cluttered. The last one is great, so well done you. What is strange is that whilst you were doing these, I was attempting the same! Spooky. Im defo. going to have a go at some macro which will probably be next year when I get the cheapo set-up I want. Good work, keep it up, and I look forward to seeing some more

Thanks. I know what you mean about number one, I think I've spent more time watching the bees than thinking about where they are and what there on, if you know what I mean.
