    Bee (on cat mint)

I was in the garden taking (or rather trying without luck) pictures of some interesting birds. But did manage to snap this little chap on my cat mint.

    7D 70-200 f2.8L Mark 2 (@200) .... f/5.6 1/500 100ISO - very heavy crop.

Not something I normally do / try ... so please be critical [honest] of any faults.

I find for small insects like this the macro is the best answer as you cant really get close enough with other lens due to the minimum focussing distance. However this is not at all bad with quite a bit of detail

        Thanks all.

Stan - I did have a 100L Macro but found I wasn't using it much for close work so sold it. So the odd times I need close a 'normal' lens has to suffice.

Beautiful wings, lately all the bees I see here have tattered wings.
