Hope to have a pond next year and be very happy if I get the wildlife and shots you have!
Sorry I've not been around much. Sadly the ankle surgery and carpal tunnel surgery have both been unsuccessful, so have to wait and see what happens next. I hope to be shooting a lot more in the future!

          Thanks for the kind words.
I was really surprised just how quickly nature moved in, particularly the backswimmers. They started to arrive within a week of the pond being filled. Good luck with your pond next year.

A great series and a good advert for the EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens, nice and sharp

                Thanks Stephen.
I am generally pleased with this lens. I wanted a good walk-around lens but something better than the kit lens. The EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS fitted the bill. It also allows me crop more closely without too much loss of image quality. My only complaint is that, in the hand, it doesn't feel quality.

Only just joined so I have just catching up with threads. A nice set of images with perfect lighting. # 4 is not a wasp I think but a "Cuckoo Bee". Just goes to show we shouldn't kill Wasps as not only are they important insects but we might be killing a Bee.
