    Pollen Thief

Snapped this whilst working from home the other day, sat at the patio table working away and I could hear a buzzing noise behind me. The neighbours flowers overhang the fence and this little fellow was merrily tucking in to some pollen, I think he was young as he was a little unstable in flight.

Sharp details Alan, maybe shadows could be lightened.

My post shoot editing capabilities are very limited, I'm not on a Windows platform so am limited to editing in DigiKam. Still not really got my head round post shoot editing, still learning to get the shots right and percevering in manual mode and resisting the temptation to go back to auto.

Thanks for the comments, really helpful and gives me an idea on how to progress.

Great image Alan. If you got DPP with your camera, lightening the shadows would be pretty easy. You're doing well though in manual mode. Stick with it. I found it scary to begin with, but perseverance pays off big time.

            Great job,
