Female Purple Hairstreak and a few other

I've been after a shot of one of these elusive Butterflies(and they are the common ones) all summer and had a bit of success today. They spend all there time at the top of, mainly, Oak trees and are rarely seen. You can get them at low levels but it would be a case of being in the right place at the right time. They are not the best of shots but good enough for a record shot and keyword tag in Butterflies.

Hairstreaks are very difficult to spot / find - I have not seen one for a couple of seasons and it was a bit the worse for wear.

The brimstone looks good but I would clone the bit of bud from the corner

Very well spotted on the 1st to as they blend very well with their environment. Of the set, the last image is the tops for me.

Stan - I'm still trying to get to grips with the photography cloning is a whole new ball game that I've yet to tackle - successfully.

Nice set, agree with Stan on cloning the bud out of the Brimstone image.
