    Spring Brimstone

The warm spring sunshine brought out the brimstone butterflies in force at Hillier Gardens today but mostly they were just on the wing and very few settled for a shot. Not keen on the background on this one, did do a replacement but it looked too false so have left it as shot

Although it is not a interesting background, it is in it's environment, letting us know that spring will finally be here.

        Cheers Tom and Bill

It will be much better once the flowers bloom and the butterflies start perching to feed. Today, I think they were just warming up in the sunshine and just picking any available spot that was in the sun

Nice capture Stan. I saw quite a few over the weekend but none were prepared to settle for a photo.
