    a butterfly from over the weekend ,taken with the sigma sport 600mm hand held close focus mode .this lens impresses me more and more

          I am going against the grain on this one - its a bit dark especially on the underside and is a little soft. Whilst the Sigma is a great lens, I wouldn't use it for butterflies or dragonflies, too heavy for small creatures and you cant get close enough with the min focus distance. My 300 f4 with or without the converter remains my lense of choice for these

            my intention is to use the 70-200 f4 for small stuff stan ,its just that i was on the seashore with just what i had available so it is what it is
