    White Admiral

We went looking for Purple Emperors in a nearby wood yesterday. None to be found but we did encounter another butterfly that I'd never seen before - a white admiral. Not the greatest of shots, but now I know where they are I'll try to improve the technique.

Thanks for looking Lunarbo, Neil & Andrew. Next time I'll take the 300mm, a monopod, & perhaps try the ring-flash too. As they seem to perch high I might need a ladder too!!

Didn't even know there was such a butterfly so good to see the image. Look forward to your efforts for better shots.

Don't see too many of them around - be good to get up close next time but even at this size shows off the colours well
