    That's a female broad bodied chaser just at rest - not drying out. A good background and quite a bit of detail although the angle and f5.6 has meant the tail is out of the plane of focus. The oof reeds either side are a little distracting and she is past her best with the ragged wing on the right

        Nice shot. Always a difficult subject to get all in focus and as Stan says f5.6 is pushing it a bit unless the insect is totally parallel to the plane of focus. Sorry to contradict Stan but this is a female Four Spotted Chaser.

          David of course you are right. The angle of shooting has made the body look quite short and dumpy hence I D as broad bodied chaser
