Found this little lizard sunbathing on a dead log in the grounds of Lyveden New Beild in Northamptonshire this afternoon.

nice sharp head but for me the grasses are a bit of a distraction

Thanks Tom and Stan. Yes, I agree, Stan. I was hoping he would come out in the open more, but sadly he scuttled off in the opposite direction and despite waiting around he never reappeared.
