    Waited ages for either this male or the female also flying around the pond to pose on a nice perch for me but in the end had to settle for this

    Fabulous detail as usual, what fascinates me is the broken section of wing on the left hand side I am intruiged at how it has broken and folded back on itself.

    Have you ever caught any in flight?

      I've seen worse than that. The wings are very fragile and i think they either get caught on bushes etc, damaged when fighting or by predators
      Have you ever caught any in flight?
      I did try but too unpredictable although both Dee and I got migrant hawkers in flight last year
