Thanks Woodshaper, thought it might be Lady Bird related, as there were quite a few of those as well; but hadn't been able to find a reference

I think thats right and what a strange looking creature
that is an excellent resource - I always turn to them if I cant find an ID and there are so many knowledgable people, someone usually replies in minuteshave a look on the 'Wild About Britain' web site
